Maebell Hough Named Employee of the Quarter | Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center

Congratulations to Maebell Hough, Certified Pharmacy Technician for being awarded the Employee of the 1st Quarter of 2023!

Maebell graduated from Butler High School. She then continued her education at Florence-Darlington Technical College where she received a Degree in Human Services.  She also attended Palmetto Training Center in Florence, SC where she received her Pharmacy Technician Certification.  She began her career in healthcare in 2007 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center.

This employee exemplifies the ENGAGE principals. The principals are Excellence in Quality & Safety, Initiative, Genuine Attitude, Actively Involved, Genuine and Empowerment. She always makes sure that her co-workers are practicing safety measures to maintain quality in her department. She is task focused, team oriented, and attentive. She takes the initiative to jump in wherever she is needed and offers to help without ever needing to be asked. She is known to fill in the gaps with her consistency and persistence. Because of her positive outlook she keeps in challenges that may arise, her coworkers see her as the “Calm in the Storm.” Her personality is genuine, kind, and positive and these characteristics are contagious to her team. She makes her co-workers feel as though they belong and she empowers them to meet challenges head on with her constant encouragement.

Maebell’s favorite saying is from Dr. Maya Angelou, “I may not remember what you did. I may forget what you said but, I will always remember how you made me feel.” Her goal is to uplift others in thoughts and deeds by always extending love and a helping hand at work, within the community, and towards her work family.

We are so thankful for Maebell being a part of the Carolina Pines team!
